The most significant attribute of Titanium Grade 2 Tubes is their excellent corrosion resistance. Titanium Grade 2 Pipes and Tubes contain a minimum of 99.2% pure titanium and minor amounts of iron, carbon, and oxygen. Despite its high corrosion resistance, the metal’s purity level translates into excellent weldability, machinability, and formability properties. The trace amounts of other elements enhance the metal’s tensile strength and durability.
Titanium Grade 2 Tubes Machining:
Grade 2 titanium tubes have excellent machinability, despite their high corrosion resistance. It can be cut, drilled, or tapped easily, making it relatively straightforward to work with or process. Specialized machining techniques, such as plasma arc cutting or electric discharge machining, can be used to shape the tubes and attain greater precision.
