Alloy 20 Round Bars
Nickel alloys are primarily made of iron, copper, nickel, and chromium, but they can also include other metals like molybdenum and titanium. One such nickel alloy is Alloy 20, known for its exceptional corrosion resistance properties. Alloy 20 is a nickel-iron-chromium-based austenitic nickel alloy that was initially designed for use in sulfuric acid-related applications. The alloy is resistant to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chemicals containing chlorides and sulfuric, phosphoric, and nitric acids.
Alloy 20 round bars’ features
Alloy 20 round bars are made from a nickel-iron-chromium alloy that contains up to 35% nickel, 20% chromium, and 3-4% copper. This combination of metals makes Alloy 20-round bars highly resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acid. In addition, Alloy 20 round bars have excellent stability in high-temperature settings, making them ideal for chemical processing plants and pharmaceutical industries.

Alloy 20 hex bars’ corrosion resistance
Hex bars are made from cold-rolled Alloy 20 sheets and have high corrosion resistance properties. Alloy 20 hex bars have excellent resistance to chlorine-induced stress corrosion cracking, making them ideal for chemical processing and petrochemical applications where chloride concentration is high. The hex shape of the bars also provides a higher strength-to-weight ratio, making them easier to machine and transport.
Alloy 20 square bars’ chemical composition
Alloy 20 square bars are similar in chemical composition to Alloy 20 round bars, but the square shape makes them ideal for use in applications that require precise dimensions and a flat surface. Alloy 20 square bars have excellent resistance to oxidizing and reducing acids, particularly sulfuric acid, making them ideal for heat exchangers, pickling tanks, and pumps.
